Tell us something about your class that you don't think most people know.
It requires preparation, but Resto Shaman can achieve some of the highest dmg reduction among healers/DPS by combining Astral Shift (-40%), Caress of the Tidemother (-13%), and Ghost in the Mist (-24%), totaling ~ 60% reduction. This let me soak Touch of Sargeras at times on M Avatar.
Tell us about yourself - age, timezone, schedule, fetishes, etc.
30, PST, available weekdays after ~5:15 PM PT and all day weekends, strong fetish for cute cat pics, I go limp at the phrase "Raid Finder Titanforged"
Outline your previous raid experience. Please be as detailed as possible, including any links if applicable.
Antorus - 6/11 M, 22% on Kin'garoth ToS - 9/9 M, Cutting Edge Nighthold - 10/10 M, Cutting Edge ToV - 3/3 M, Cutting Edge EN - 7/7 M Prior to Legion I took an extended break from hardcore progression. My highest progression before Legion was US #17 with Infallible - Eonar on H Ragnaros
Detail your off-spec capabilities (ie: gear level, experience).
Elemental is 72 traits and ~963 equipped right now, haven't been able to play it in raids yet this tier but I do enjoy DPSing when I get the chance.
How do you prepare for raids? Be specific.
1) Check guild posted resources on website or Discord regarding any specific strategies, videos or WeakAuras I should be checking out and getting. 2) Watch Fatboss/Kelani or similar video, if no specific video was mentioned in step 1 3) Watch a video from my role's PoV 4) Check out if people in my class spec are using any specific talents or legendaries that I might not be thinking of utilizing I haven't found the Shaman Discord (Earthshrine) to be super helpful thus far with prep, but I do check that and chainheal.com occasionally as well.
What do you feel that you, personally, bring to a guild and raid environment?
I pride myself on being prepared for raid, both in terms of knowledge of the fight (both generically and how the guild intends to approach the fight) as well as in making sure my character is prepared with flasks, food, pots, and knowing which talents and legendaries will be useful on the fight. I also realize that healers are generally last in line for loot and am not worried about gearing up quickly - I know loot always comes eventually.
Tell us your best joke.
How do you tell two siamese cats apart? You can't, it's impawsible.
What made you apply to Negatory?
I became interested due to your consistent Legion progression, the fact that you mention social and non-raid activities in your post, and the humor evident in the listing. I think I'd be a great fit both in terms of capabilities and demeanor.
Were you referred by an existing Negatory member? If yes, who?
No, I just found you on WoWProgress.
Negatory is a mature guild, and as such you will be subject to foul language, off-color humor and "adult" discussions - understood?
Yes, though I would say that an over-abundance of epithets and slurs would make me not enjoy the atmosphere, so if the jokes regularly and routinely go beyond standard off-color stuff then I may not be a good fit.
Is there any additional information we should take into account when reviewing your application?
